Missions

We currently support missions work in the Czech Republic and the Ukraine. We also support a couple who do short term missionary work in the Sons Of Salvation Missionary organization. Sons Of Salvation is an interdenominational missions organization directed by Dow and Cindee Warner, dedicated to bringing God’s message of salvation to the world.

Here is a couple newsletters from missionaries.

Jim and Laurie are making preparations to work long term in the Ukraine. The purpose of going to the Ukraine was to spy out the land for future planning. Jim and Laurie will be Word of Life Church’s first missionary outreach to be planted in another country.

The Czech Republic was the question mark on this trip. We knew very little about the country or why God was having us go there. But God had many surprises in store for us during our time in the Czech Republic. Our very first surprise was a young church in the town of Hlinsko. The church is called the Apostolic Church of Hlinsko and it is truly apostolic in character. The worship team is comprised of all youth none older than 14. They are anointed and minister with an ability beyond their years. They ushered us into the presence of the Lord with a prophetic edge and the Spirit of God ministered to all present. God touched pastor Greg’s heart with the reality that God is building His kingdom in people wherever hearts are open to Him. And truly the kingdom of God is being built in the members of the Apostolic Church in Hlinsko.

The Sons of Salvation missionary organization brought a Canadian hockey team to the Czech Republic. The Canadian hockey team is an evangelistic outreach tool to build relationship with the Czech hockey teams. They have been doing this for 3 years now. The Canadian hockey team outreach is organized by Jody Rector. Jody and his wife Rachel are believing the Lord to be long term missionaries stationed in the Czech Republic.

There were many opportunities to minister besides playing hockey. We visited an orphanage in the city of Pardubice, CZ. We spent time with the children, playing with them and showing them the love of Jesus.

Missionaries Steve Belzner, Amanda Biezel (California), and Kicki Dahlberg (Sweden) teach adult English second language classes as an evangelistic outreach tool. These classes are held at a church in Hlinsko on Tuesday and Thursday nights. The missionary team would go to these classes and speak with the students so they could practice their conversational English. In the course of our conversations we would have opportunity to share our testimonies. Pastor Greg had an opportunity to share how he met Jesus with two Czech ladies during one of these conversations. Please pray that the seeds that were planted would bear fruit and both ladies would be saved. We also had opportunity to speak with high school students who are also studying English in both Hlinsko and Pardubice.
